The herring

He was a big white wall - naked, naked, naked,
Against the wall a ladder - high, high, high,
And on the ground, a herring - dry, dry, dry.
He comes, holding in his hands - dirty, dirty, dirty,
A heavy hammer, a large nail - pointed, pointed, pointed,
A pack of string - big, big, big.
So he climbs to the ladder - high, high, high,
And plant the pointed nail - toc, toc, toc,
At the top of the big white wall - naked, naked, naked.
He lets go the hammer - who falls, who falls, who falls,
Fasten the string to the nail - long, long, long,
And, in the end, the herring - dry, dry, dry.
He goes back down the ladder - high, high, high,
Take it with the hammer - heavy, heavy, heavy;
And then he goes elsewhere - far, far, far away.
And since then the herring - dry, dry, dry,
At the end of this string - long, long, long,
Very slowly is swinging - always, always, always.
I composed this story - simple, simple, simple,
To infuriate people - serious, serious, serious,
And to entertain children - small, small, small.
